Why Ayurveda ?

Thousands of years before modern medicine provided scientific evidence for the mind-body connection, the sages of India developed Ayurveda, which continues to be one of the world’s most sophisticated and powerful mind-body health systems. It is based on QUANTUM PHYSICS ! More than a mere system of treating illness, Ayurveda is a science of life (Ayur = life, Veda = science or knowledge). It offers a body of wisdom designed to help people stay vibrant and healthy while realizing their full human potential.

The way a body moves towards disease is as follows : It all begins with your subtle energy in your body . Although humans don’t feel it these days , they can be felt by people who meditate and have reached a higher frequency . After the subtle energy in your body is affected , the channels start to get blocked .

  1. You have physical or mental stress ( a part of the subtle energy )
  2. Due to continuous stress the hormonal system goes for a toss ( stating of blockages of channels )
  3. Continuous hormonal malfunctioning affects your immune system . ( Here the channels are blocked due to toxins )
  4. When your immune system has become a mess then any disease can attack you .
  5. Finally your body is out of balance from the universal energy  .

So if this is the cycle allopathy works only when you have a disease ie point 4 or 5 . At stage 4 or 5 there are symptoms that you have  a disease . The symptoms are measured by the labs and you know you have a disease . So the allopathic doctor gives you medicine to suppress the symptoms . The root cause of the disease isn’t looked at and they have no idea what it is so it cannot be repaired . In Ayurveda the root cause is easily known , then the root cause is reversed so that your body can then repair itself and you are disease free . So in what way is allopathy superior ? In fact its just the other way round . In ayurveda not only will the disease be reversed but the immune system and  hormonal system can be repaired . The cause of the stress is also taken care of by meditating and by having a healthy body by detoxing it regularly.

The two main guiding principles of Ayurveda are 1) the mind and the body are inextricably connected, and 2) nothing has more power to heal and transform the body than the mind and the body itself . Freedom from illness depends upon expanding our own awareness, bringing it into balance, and then extending that balance to the body. This process isn’t as complicated as it may sound. In fact its very simple . All you need is to open the channels of your body . This can only be done through energy medicines , detox ( removing the toxins ) and regulating the flow of consciousness through your body or the universal energy . Also when you meditate you effortlessly enter a state of expanded awareness and inner quiet that refreshes the mind and restores balance. Since the mind and body are inseparable, the body is naturally balanced through the practice of meditation. In the state of restful awareness created through meditation, your heart rate and breath slow, your body decreases the production of “stress” hormones such as cortisol and adrenaline, and you increase the production of neurotransmitters that enhance wellbeing, including serotonin, dopamine, oxytocin, and endorphins.

Meditation is just one of the most powerful tools the ancient Ayurvedic physicians prescribed for balancing the mind and body. Ayurveda also offers many other practices for expanding self-awareness and cultivating your innate state of balance.
